1. Makaraasana (Crocodile Pose)
Makarasana is
counted among the asanas performed while lying on the stomach. In the final
stage of this posture, the shape of our body looks like a crocodile, hence it
is called Makarasana. While asthma and respiratory diseases are cured by
Makarasana, it is a panacea for back pain.
2. Halasana (Plough Pose)
While doing Halasana, the position of the body becomes like a plow,
hence it is called Halasana.
3. Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose)
Bhujangasana is
also counted among the asanas performed while lying on the stomach. In the
final state of this asana, the shape of our body looks like a snake with a
hood, that is why it is called Bhujangasana.
4. Balasana (Child Pose)
Balasana is an
asana of simple difficulty or basic level. It is considered as the posture of
the style of Vinyasa Yoga. Balasana should be practiced for 1 to 3 minutes.
Doing this does not require any repetition. Balasana creates a stretch in the
hips, thighs and ankles. While it helps in strengthening the waist, neck and
shoulders.
5. Pawanmuktasana (Wind Relieving Pose)
Pawanmuktasana is
an excellent asana, which is considered very important for good digestion. Pawanmuktasana helps to tone the abdominal and waist muscles. Patients
suffering from problems of poor digestion are generally advised to do
Pawanmuktasana.
